Films Similar To Our 5 Minute Film

We have used many different films for inspiration. Through the use of genre and iconography we will be able to recreate a 5 minute film that will look professional and resemble a real thriller/drama. A film that we have used as inspiration is Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese, which uses psychological aspects to create suspense with the audience. E.g not everything is seen, and much is left to the imagination. This is something we would like to apply in our own creation. Another film that has similar elements to what we want our film to resemble is Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock. Which has the theme of following/Stalking from the main protagonist, Norman Bates. The stalker theme is something we have planned for our finished product. Something we have changed for our film is that it is our protagonist who is being followed rather than in Psycho. We were inspired by a Hitchcock trademark of the use voyeurism which referrers to the act of looking at a person withour there knowledge. The way we have used this in our film is our main protagonist is being stalked unknowingly, we may portray this through the point of view of both pray and hunter.
