We want our film to be as realistic as possible and a way of doing this is buy having a script which fits the genre and type of actors playing our characters. It would also be important to note I also study English Language and Literature so my understanding of how lexis is used to create verisimilitude is much larger than people who don't. This helps me to understand how our character would react to a situation, Eg. when they're having a conversation what type of language a student would typically use in day to day life.
Taking from what we know about our future film, our script will be for students around the age of 17-18, thus is be very relaxed and uncomplicated, it may also feature lexis based around college work. Using slang is a way in which we will be able to create a realist student script, an example of this.
During the climactic ending of our film is an example of how language could be used to make the scene more exciting. When our protagonist is captured want him to be shouting thus showing his fear. Because the scene is suppose to tense it is unlikely he will be using long Latinate words, something easy like "Help!" or "Let go!" would work for our scene. Although this may seem trivial it is very important because is shows we have thought about very detail before we start filming in order to limit the possibility something will go wrong during production.
