Problems During the Whole Production
Problems we faced
During the process of filming and editing we have come across a great deal of problems and now our film is finished and "Lights Out" Is finally uploaded and editing is done, the problems are out of the way.
A starting problem we had to overcome after casting was decided we to find places to film in which our storyline would allow. The main difficulty was the setting, in that its set in an urban environment where their are an abundance of people who disturb the filming. Many people walked through our shot making our scene useless, this caused distress because it took many different shootings to film one small scene, and with deadlines this can become a major problem. During this scene of our film is where it appeared the most.
Another problem we face while film although trivial is the reflection of the camera in certain shots. During the last one of the last scenes we had the camera near glass, because of this it hard to stop the reflection of the camera upon viewing the scene. To solve this we moved the camera to the side, while trying to angle the camera. Even though we had planned to see the protagonist through the glass, this had to be changed in order to not lose marks.
A big problem during the process of editing, were choosing songs. Once all the scenes had be shot and re-shot in some cases, the music became a subject of debate and time effective. We searched through many websites, and listened to many different songs to find the right one which would fit the right pase of our film.
