Practice film poster making

In order to create a verisimilitude looking poster I must fully grasp how to operate photohop, as such I have made and image of two zombie arms holding a world in their palms. This practise is important because it will help during the production of my poster by helping me to successfully use the correct tools on photoshop. Some tools I have used while creating my practise image are rotate, copy, wand and lasso. Having only used photoshop a small amount in the past it is clear that practise is needed before I take on the task of creating my own poster that looks like it was made by professorial graphic designers.

Bellow I the original image of the earth upon which I place the zombie arms. Fist I must remove the black background upon which the earth picture is placed on. I must do this by either using the rubber too which will allow me to rub out the black areas thus allowing the arms to fit into the image.

Below is the zombie arms which I place on the the image of the world, after first copying the arms then rotating them so that face towards each other. I will do this my highlight one arm then using the rotate tool. Then once I have two images of two zombie arms I correctly place them ether side of the earth to make them look as though they are holding the world.

Here is the finished image of the zombie world. Now after this practise exercise I feel I could take on the task of creating my poster, because I understand how to place images on top of each other which will be useful during the process of creating my poster.
