Having created a film poster I feel it is important to analysis the poster because it shows that i can say what is good about about my poster and what is bad, and what I could do next time in order to improve it.
Good Qualities of my film poster
An element of my film poster I feel I have created a realistic poster that resembles a mainstream company is the image. The image in the background is of two light bulbs off and one not, this i have chosen from google is because it clearly represents the narrative of the film and is also an image that would most likely be seen on a verisimilitude poster.
Another area of my poster that is also an important part of actual posters is the news paper comments. Having researched posters I now know that is an important feature because it shows that that actual journalists who's job it is to review films has given the film a good rating thus people will see the film based on trust.
Bad Qualities of my film poster
Something that isn't as good on my poster is the lack of information, eg who directed the film, and who makes it. These elements I have not placed on my poster because of lack of time, having only one lesson to create my poster I feel it could have more information.
Another part of my poster that could be better is that I have only used one image. although the one image i have used is good, i feel it could have a better picture on top of it, something such as an actors face.
What I could better
I had limited time to create my poster, and as such I feel the quality is lacking in some areas. What I would do different next time is have a tagline which would describe the film or quote the film. Another thing i would do is share the name of the director and say what company created the film eg WarnerBrothers.
