Film Poster Analysis

We as a group want to make a film poster that will resemble Silence Of The Lambs. This is because the film has similar elements to ours, such as the stalker theme. The poster (Shown below) is ambiguous and doesn't give much evidence to the films storyline. The poster uses dark colours that could be used to represent the dark and often graphic images in the film. This helps someone who hasn't seen the film will have at some idea that the film could be a horror or a thriller. The poster features all the important information about what company makes the films and who stars in it, those being Jodie Foster, and Anthony Hopkins.

Much like what we imagine our poster to look like during the end position, it has elements in which we hope to incorporate. One area we hoping to place in our poster are the dark colours. Round the main image the poster uses dark black/blues which make the poster look thrilling, we as a group hope to apply this technique to ours. Another example of how this poster resembles what we hope to recreate or at the very least pay homage.
